Aaron Clarkson is an award-winning furniture designer known for his contemporary organic forms and innovative designs. With a passion for creating both functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces, Aaron has made an impact on the industry in the first decade of his career.
Aaron studied Industrial Product Design at Coventry University, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of materials, structures, and design principles. During his time at university, he secured a spot on the University’s prestigious exchange programme and spent a summer working in Hangzhou, China.
After graduating with First Class Honours Aaron joined Duresta, a residential furniture manufacturing company. Here, he gained invaluable practical experience and refined his design techniques, contributing to the creation of exquisite and luxurious furniture collections that were highly sought after by discerning clientele.
For the past nine years Aaron has worked at the Midlands-based company, Boss Design.
Boss Design is a globally recognised name for their design and manufacture of high-quality contract furniture. As Senior Designer, he is involved in the ideation, conceptualisation, and realisation of innovative designs that prioritise comfort, ergonomics, and style.
In 2022, The Amelia Lounge Collection designed by Aaron for Boss Design won the Gold Award in the Seating: Sofas & Lounge category at Neocon 2022, a renowned award in the world's largest market.
His designs are specified for many companies including BMW and JLR, used in airport first class lounges for British Airways and American Airlines as well as being specified for events such as the G7 Summit in Cornwall, 2021.
